1. Not therapy, not medical advice
Everything here is for education and reflection. It is not therapy, counselling, medical or psychological advice, and using it does not create a therapeutic or professional relationship of any kind. The guides cite real research, but research describes populations — it cannot diagnose you, your partner, or your relationship.
If something here is landing hard, or you're dealing with abuse, self-harm, or a mental-health crisis, please talk to a qualified professional.
2. In a crisis
This site cannot help in an emergency. Contact your local emergency number. To find a helpline anywhere in the world: findahelpline.com. In the US: call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or the National Domestic Violence Hotline on 1-800-799-7233.
3. The Guardian is a prototype — do not rely on it
The date-safety tool demonstrates how a check-in system would work. Its alerts are simulated. Nothing is actually texted, emailed, or sent to anyone, and no emergency service is ever contacted. Do not use it as your safety plan. Tell a real person where you're going and when you'll be back.
4. Prototypes and demo accounts
Parts of this site are working prototypes rather than finished products, and are labelled as such where that's true. Sign-in is currently a passwordless demo using shared, fictional accounts — it provides no security and no privacy between users. Please don't put anything genuinely sensitive into the signed-in features until real accounts exist.
Prototypes may change, break, or be removed. Data in them may be reset.
5. Your content
What you write stays yours. You grant only what's needed to operate the features you choose to use — storing your questionnaire answers so your partner can see them after you both finish, for example. We don't claim ownership, and we don't use your writing to train anything.
You're responsible for what you enter, including anyone else's details you add (see Privacy). Don't use the shared features to harass anyone or to post someone else's private information.
6. Consent between people
The tools here can describe consent; they cannot establish it. A shared keyring, a completed questionnaire, or a drafted covenant is a snapshot of a conversation — never a contract, never proof that anyone agreed to anything, and never a substitute for asking in the moment.
7. Age
This site covers adult relationships, intimacy and sexual health. You must be 18 or older to use it.
8. Availability and liability
This is a small, independently run project offered free and as-is, with no warranty of any kind. It may be offline, incomplete, or wrong. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses arising from using it — including data lost when a browser clears its storage. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Changes and contact
These terms may change; the date above will change with them. Questions: privacy@partnersin.love.
